Morrison & Foerster LLP is Tokyo's largest international law firm employing over 190 lawyers and supporting staff. Fusion Systems was appointed by Morrison & Foerster as Senior Project Manager in preparation for their relocation from the Otemachi AIG Building to Tokyo's prestigious office tower, Shin-Marunochi Building.

Fusion worked with Morrison & Foerster's technology teams in Tokyo and San Francisco as well as local sub-contractor project management teams to oversee the timescale for the relocation. Our Senior Consultants immediately assisted the client in planning a simultaneous relocation and state of the art technology upgrade strategy that would synchronize the technical blueprints at both their existing and new premises. The critical path deliverable was to ensure that not a single moment of worktime would be lost as a result of the relocation project.

In conjunction with Morrison & Foerster's technology managers and key business units, a carefully formulated round-the-clock move schedule was agreed upon that included the sequential packing/unpacking of all infrastructure systems including PC's, Servers, Storage, Audio-visual and VoIP systems. Morrison & Foerster implemented a comprehensive IT Infrastructure migration plan whereby all existing PC environments were upgraded, and the migration paths were set in place for multiple new subsystems. Fusion Systems ensured relocation of hundreds of separate pieces of IT equipment and the activities of internal and external resources critical to the successful delivery of the project. As part of the relocation process, Fusion Systems undertook the responsibility for multiple technology sub-projects including an EMC Clariion installation and the design, configuration and implementation of all conference room multi-media systems.

Through careful planning and execution with Morrison & Foerster's senior IT management teams (Japan and US), the entire project was completed on schedule and on budget, concluding with roll-up and delivery of completed project closure documentation.
